Contributes to the conception of the quotation to customer
Participates in the project team from the quotation conception phase / Customer Enquiry Review (CER) phase
Involves expert suppliers in the early project phase
Support sales and engineering with project cost / pricing objectives in close cooperation with the Commodity Buyer and up-to-date process know-how.
Ensures supplier selection from the approved supplier list
Identifies, in accordance with the commodity buyer, and consult suppliers.
Negotiates or participates with the commodity buyer in supplier negotiations and the final choice of supplier.
Direct performance follow-up during the project phase
Manages suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the project phase, respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensures that the project phase reviews are supported within the framework of the New Product Introduction Process (NPI).
Ensure early involvement of the plant buyers in the project before the series phase.
Manage specific mandated suppliers when requested and agreed with customers.
Issues purchase orders for project related CAPEX.
